Egremont Board of Health unanimously approved a septic system variance for a Baldwin Hill residence. The board voted 2-0 to grant Local Upgrade Approvals for 10 Baldwin Hill South, allowing reductions to the leach field and property line setback under maximum feasible compliance following a failed Title 5 inspection. Director Juliette Haas will notify The Prospect of the state code requirement to mark steps on its hot and cold plunge pools.
The board received updates on West Nile Virus risk escalation in the state, a vaccination clinic with 200 registered participants set for September 30, and progress on the Town Hall PFAS treatment unit installation after the contractor received its first 50 percent payment.
