Board of Health approves ServeSafe deadline and fines policy.

Egremont Board of Health votes to require ServeSafe certification at The Mill restaurant within 14 days or face closure. Chairman Charles Ogden and board members Dr. William Rose and Ellen Maggio also unanimously approved a new Fines and Fees Policy to enforce timely permit renewals with automatic late fees, voted 3-0 to require a minimum 2000-gallon septic tank at 138 Jug End Road, and approved a Local Upgrade Approval for a septic replacement at 20 Sheffield Road.

Director Juliette Haas reported that water samples from Landfill Monitoring Well 1 tested positive for PFAS, prompting a request for additional funding at May's Annual Town Meeting for bedrock-drilled well testing and annual monitoring costs.
