Board of Health · Meeting of August 6, 2026

Egremont Board of Health voted unanimously to recommend a PFAS treatment unit for Town Hall. Chairman Charles Ogden made the motion to hire B&T Well & Pump, the only firm to submit a bid. If grant funds do not fully cover costs, the Board of Health will fund the remainder from its budget.

In a separate action, the Board rescinded a Title 5 septic inspection failure for 138 Hillsdale Road after evidence from Wilkinson Excavating and Kelly, Granger & Parsons showed the initial inspection had been incomplete. Director Juliette Haas will request a re-inspection from the original inspector.
