EGREMONT — French Park Dog Park Committee approves quarterly waste removal gratuity, schedules spring cleanup. Committee Chair Kate Sontag reported the park's revolving account balance at $902.76 with $355 in cash donations; the committee confirmed the cash-only donation policy adopted in January 2025 is working well. The committee approved approximately $250 quarterly gratuity payments to Joe Schneider for waste removal and scheduled coordinated cleanup for March 28 and 29 before the first mowing by Tom Reynolds' crew.
Emily Eyre, presenting updates on the small dog club with 12 to 13 regular Saturday attendees, is developing a fundraising plan to install a $3,000 safety gate after confirming tax-deductibility status with the Select Board.
