Egremont deed activity brisk in late summer, but most sale prices go undisclosed
Egremont recorded 15 property transfers between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only four disclosed a sale price, ranging from $90,000 to $825,000 with a median of $375,000 among those four. The period's top disclosed sale was 36 Millard Road at $825,000 on Aug. 26. Mount Washington Road saw four separate deed entries, the most of any street in the data. At least five transfers were trust or estate transactions within the same family, and six involved a bank or mortgage entity as a party. With price disclosed in barely a quarter of transactions, the data offers only a partial view of the local market this period.
