Egremont's Top Sale Hits $2.3 Million While Most Deed Prices Stay Undisclosed
Eleven properties changed hands in Egremont between July 24 and Aug. 22, according to Southern Berkshire Registry of Deeds records, but only three transactions disclosed a sale price. Prices ranged from $225,000 for a Townhouse Hill Road parcel to $2,310,000 for 257 Jug End Rd., which sold to Citibank NA and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. The median disclosed price was $256,900. Several transfers in the period involved trusts, estates or family members rather than outside buyers. With eight of 11 recorded deeds omitting a price, the available data offers a limited read on overall market pricing this period.
