Finance Committee approves FY27 budget elements endorsed by Selectboard.

Egremont Finance Committee unanimously approved FY27 budget elements the Selectboard had previously endorsed. Chair Tom Berkel, with members Bob Noonan and Michael Ukropina present, voted 3-0 to advance the spending plan on March 2. The Committee also discussed the town's Short Term Rental Bylaw, expressing preference for positive incentives to encourage affordable housing over punitive restrictions, and noting the Housing Trust should prioritize construction of lower-cost units rather than regulation of existing rental properties.
