Finance Committee recommends most warrant articles, defers decision on Article 21.

EGREMONT — Finance Committee approves four thousand dollars in police reserve transfers and endorses most FY 2027 warrant articles. The panel voted unanimously to transfer thirty-eight hundred dollars to Police account 015210.702 and two hundred dollars to account 015210.700. On warrant articles, the committee recommended all items with three exceptions: Article 16 drew a divided vote of 3-1 with one abstention; Article 19 passed 4-0 with one abstention; and the committee deferred Article 21 pending further information about contractor necessity.
Chair Tom Berkel will report final recommendations to the Select Board. Member Michael Ukropina requested a dedicated budget planning meeting before the next cycle begins.
