Egremont Historical Commission approves new member and late-summer cemetery event. The commission unanimously approved April minutes and welcomed newly confirmed member Ulla Dannebom. Co-Chair Francis Nestor briefed members on Community Preservation Act funding possibilities, including village signs.
The commission reached consensus to delay the Preservation Bylaw vote until 2027 after receiving no responses from town boards. Members proposed a late-summer event highlighting the Archives Room and Mount Everett Cemetery with living history exhibits; Co-Chair Beth Wood will contact cemetery trustees and member Alex Langshure will contact Button Ball Inn about participation.
