Egremont Housing Trust Board caps short-term rentals at 50 properties and 150 nights annually. The board voted 10-1 (Evan Hardcastle dissenting) on the property limit and approved the night cap unanimously. Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approved the Chapter 40B Comprehensive Permit for the CDC Housing Project, which has attracted over 40 expressions of interest.
The board also dropped two waiting periods, one-year post-lease and six-month post-acquisition, from its short-term rental bylaw, while exempting owner-occupied individual room rentals from regulatory restrictions. Chairman Richard Stanley indicated a potential revolving loan fund for affordable housing may be discussed at the next meeting following a meeting with Greylock Savings Bank.
