Housing Trust explores short-term rental caps and 40B project hearing.
Egremont Municipal Housing Trust · Meeting of April 10, 2026
EGREMONT — Housing Trust Board advances short-term rental bylaw amendments following community feedback. The Board agreed to cap short-term rentals at approximately 10 percent of town housing stock and to allow unlimited rental nights for owner-occupied premises where residents rent rooms within their homes, with the status of mixed-use owner-occupied properties to be determined later. Chairman Richard Stanley outlined the Chapter 40B hearing process ahead of a 5 p.m. hearing that day on the CDC's application for the town housing project.
A second public information session on short-term rental and seasonal communities designations is scheduled for April 29.
