EGREMONT — The Municipal Housing Trust discussed its short-term rental initiative ahead of a June 29 town meeting. Chairman Richard Stanley presided over seven members who addressed restrictions on properties valued at $500,000 or below. The board reviewed a CDC workforce housing project where one applicant moved forward with financing despite a $15,000 implementation cost for the 80 percent AMI rental requirement.
The Trust identified two grant opportunities: a $58,946 seasonal community grant with an August 28 deadline and a potential $20,000 cooperative grant with another town.
