Planning Board approves Form A for Motes property, adopts design guidelines.
Planning Board · Meeting of January 14, 2026
Egremont Planning Board approves Form A for Motes property, cites driveway access concerns. The five-member board voted 4-1 to approve the subdivision (Eddie Regendahl opposed), with notes that shared driveway compliance would need to be resolved between buyer and seller through permitting. In unanimous action, the board adopted version 4.2 of the Rural & Village Design Guidelines and appointed Stephen Lyle as the Planning Board's representative to the Community Preservation Advisory Committee.
The board discussed FY2027 budget priorities, including consultant support for short-term rental, seasonal community designation, and energy siting work; a tentative January 21 meeting at 1 p.m. was targeted to discuss short-term rentals before a scheduled January 28 joint session with the Municipal Housing Trust.
