EGREMONT — Select Board unanimously approves EMS regionalization study with no immediate budget impact. The board voted to include Egremont in the Southern Berkshire EMS Task Force feasibility analysis by January 31st, authorizing snow and ice removal expenditures over the current appropriation, and approving a wage increase for Freddie Richards from $26 to $27 per hour effective immediately. Town Clerk Juliette Haas reported that elections will move from the Fire House to a bay there after personnel changes, with future locations determined by the outcome of the May primary.
The board accepted Lauren Nelson's Police Department resignation effective January 27, 2026.
