Select Board · Meeting of May 5, 2026

EGREMONT — Select Board approves Greenagers invasive-plant removal at French Park on May 13. The board unanimously backed a proposal by the Egremont Land Trust and Greenagers to deploy approximately 20 volunteers, including Waldorf School students, to manually remove Burning Bush plants using hand tools; Greenagers will handle insurance and liability coverage. The board also unanimously approved a Green Committee collection event for October 10 at Town Hall and voted 2–1 to accept the June 30 departure of Grant Administrator Peg McDonough after she declined a reduced-compensation contract offer intended to cut payroll costs.

The Green Communities Grant was awarded to fund Water Department insulation installation.
