Select Board approves police review contract, plans June special town meeting.

Select Board · Meeting of March 17, 2026

EGREMONT — Select Board approves $4,000 police department review contract. The board, meeting March 17, funded the independent review through a reserve fund transfer and scheduled a special town meeting for early June to address short-term rental zoning and seasonal community designation, with Board Member Mary Brazie securing school cafeteria availability. An informational session on both topics is set for April 29 at 5:30 p.m., with Web Administrator Mary McGurn providing details on relevant state legislation.

The board also appointed Mary Brazie Inspector of Animals for 2027 and approved a Friends of Prospect Lake tag sale for August 29-30 in the Town Hall parking lot.
