EGREMONT — Select Board reorganizes and approves highway hire and beer license. Chairwoman Lucinda Fenn-Vermeulen, Vice Chair Judi Goodman, and Member Mary Brazie were elected in the annual reorganization. The Board unanimously approved Nate Mrowka's hire for the Highway Department effective June 1, 2026, and unanimously granted a one-day beer and wine special license for Greenagers' annual gala on August 14.
The Board set June 29, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. as the date for the Special Town Meeting at Mount Everett Regional School and refined warrant articles, including a $40,000 correction from overlay surplus, while Grant Administrator Peg McDonough reported on a pending $1 million MassDOT Community Culvert Grant for Blunt Road construction and a $25,000 Massachusetts Council on Aging Transportation grant to expand Tri-Town Connector service.
