Egremont Select Board voted 2-1 to halt web administrator billing pending employment clarification. Vice Chair Judi Goodman and Member Mary Brazie voted on August 24 to direct web administrator Mary McGurn to stop billing for additional work while the town seeks legal counsel regarding her employee-versus-contractor status. Chair Lucinda Fenn-Vermeulen opposed the motion.
Personnel Director Cara Becker had flagged concerns about McGurn's website management role. The board will revisit the matter on August 31.
