EGREMONT — Water Commission approves $7,676 analyzer replacement, projects revenue shortfall. Chair Mary Brazie and fellow commissioners unanimously endorsed the Colorimetric Chlorine Analyzer purchase from the repairs and updates account and flagged a deficit in water revenues and expenses likely to require a rate adjustment. The board also waived interest on a $5,215.90 bill for a 62 Main Street property owner who consumed 154,000 gallons in March after being advised to run water for freeze protection, directing staff to set up a payment plan.
Active grants include a $32,000 Green Communities award for water plant insulation and an ongoing Asset Management Plan that will include a rate study.
